4 months old!

This could possible be the cutest outfit ever. Look carefully at the feet ---- they have little fake laces on them! :) Whoever designs these things must LOVE their job! LOL

Stephen turned 4 months old this past week and got to go to the doctor for some shots and his wellness check. He's doing great and is a wonderfully healthy little boy. He's jumped up in length, now measuring 24 3/4" in the 60th percentile as compared to the 25th percentile 2 months ago. He's also smaller than we guessed at 15 ls, 15 oz (down to the 80th percentile). We had measured him at school and thought he was over 16 lbs. It's strange but I swear we were almost disappointed that we were wrong. Too funny.

This month, he's back to sleeping on Mommy and not wanting to be put down. But even sleeping on me, he is still only sleeping 3 hours at a time. Someday, I'll remember what it feels like to sleep horizontally instead of in a recliner (which thank goodness is awfully comfy). He's also started to not like bathtime very much which is a big switch from when we started bathing him. It's been gradually getting worse and worse and we think its because he's getting cold sitting wet and naked in our old, drafty house. So for the past two weeks, we've tried bathing him with me sitting in the tub behind him. That's been MUCH better and although he still doesn't seem to enjoy it, he's not crying or screaming the entire time. Definitely a plus! He's also cooing and laughing more, especially when you rough-house with him. I think he's getting close to sitting on his own and he's starting to find his hands and learn that he can control them and other things with them.

We also didn't have childcare this week so we got to spend a lot of time with him in the past 7 days. Monday was a teacher workday so we took him with us (and he was an ANGEL), I stayed home Tuesday, and Abe skipped a conference to stay home Wednesday thru Friday since maternity leave ate all of my sick days. We can deal with one unpaid day but definitely not a week of them. Abe LOVED the time at home and is already dreading going back to work tomorrow. Stephen, on the other hand, probably can't wait to get back to Dawn's where he can watch all the other kids. Mom and Dad just aren't that interesting. :) Must be a preview of the pre-teen years.....

Love to all!
